On March 16, the Vice speaker of the State Duma Svetlana Zhurova met Russian delegations which will take part in youth «Eight» and «Twenty».
«Youth has done and still can do a lot to change even adults' attitudes that’s why we need such summits like G8 Youth Summit and G-20Y Summit where they declare their point», the vice-speaker of parliament’s lower house of delegates said. In April — May those delegates are going to participate in separate forums held in Canada where they will take part in «brain storms» concerning the most important issues on global policy, economics and finances.
The delegates including young businessmen, financial analysts, economists and young scientists, students specializing in international relations and finance spoke of their preparing for the summits, of the Russian proposals to the agendas and the communiqué that will be taken by the end of work in Canada. It was underlined that the purpose of visiting the summits is to develop proposals for solving current problems and determining the direction where the adults’ «G8» and «G20» will move based on creative and special approach in collaboration with the colleagues from other nations.
Svetlana Zhurova, noting that she was «pleased to see the vanguard of the Russian youth, people who have proved competence and high degree of education at the international level», wished success to the Russian delegation to the G-20Y and G8 Youth Summits.
