Y20 Delegates Summit was held with the participation of the Russian delegation in Mexico
Under the auspices of the Government of Mexico in the year of her presidency in the «Group of Twenty», in Puebla, Mexico hosted Y20 Delegates Summit 2012. The Russian delegation on behalf of the Presidential Administration was established by the International Youth Diplomacy League and youth movement «Junior Eight». Russian delegates were: Dilbar Sadykova, Marina Yashina, Olga Peshekhonova, Konstantin Panin, Roman Chukov, Alena Matveeva, Maksim Usynin.
Y20 Mexico Summit is the part of the official program of «adult» summit. Its goal — to create a single view of the world's youth in the way of solutions relevant to all participants of the meeting of economic and political problems. The document containing the proposals of young diplomats to the experienced colleagues, will be presented to the leaders of the G20 during their meeting in Mexico in June of this year.
The participants — seven students from each country, of the G20 and five invited countries will discuss issues on the agenda of the «adult» summit. This economic stability as a basis for growth and development, strengthening financial systems, creating new jobs, the development of international trade, food security, promote international cooperation in the field of global governance and the future of the «Big Twenty» and other global issues relevant to young people.
The welcoming speech to the Summit delegates was the speech of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mexico, Patricia Espinosa, Sherpa of Mexico in the «Group of Twenty», Lourdes Aranda, director of the Institute of Youth in Mexico Miguel Angel Carreon Sanchez and experts on the political and financial issues.
As a result of the Summit, delegates participated in a meeting with Mexican President Felipe Calderon and Mexico's Foreign Minister Patricia Espinosa, during which delegates presented the results of the youth meeting and were able to ask questions on topical issues of international relations.
