The agreement was reached with the international organizers of the forum organizing committee of the G8 Youth Summit. As a result of negotiations, working group meeting of G8 Youth Summit was moved from Paris to Novosibirsk.

Youth G8 supports the initiative of the International Youth Innovation Forum «Interra 2009» in Novosibirsk, as the question of innovation is on the agenda of young leaders of major industrialized nations of the world, the «Group of Eight." It is the purpose of strengthening the focus on innovation in the «Group of Eight» working group meeting of the G8 Youth Summit held in Novosibirsk in support of the Innovation Forum.

The event is unique because there was just once — the first Youth Summit of the G8 in 2006 in St. Petersburg. And the first time Novosibirsk will be the world center for 4 days which will bring together young leaders of the «Group of Eight» and the working group will discuss «Global infrastructure innovation». The result will be signing the final document of the working group on the subject and press conference at which the young leaders of the «Group of Eight» will be presented by the joint decisions taken.

As the President of Russian Federation DA Medvedev said: «the effectiveness of innovation depends on the objective knowledge of global trends». Also, the vector of innovation is always directed to the future. That is why the young leaders of major industrialized nations of the world, «the Group of Eight» today take joint decisions on the issue of global innovation. We are responsible for the creation of a world in which we live, we and our children will live.

Outcome of the working group of the Youth Group of Eight will be sent to the Governments of the «Group of Eight» and five observer countries and form the basis of the agenda of the next «Youth Summit Group of Eight» in Canada in 2010.

Implementation of the first working group meeting on a specific issue in Novosibirsk will open a special program of cooperation with the Youth Group of Eight leading cities of the «Group of Eight». During the year, other cities in eight countries will be able to appeal to the international organizing committee of the Youth Group of Eight initiatives to hold the working groups on specific issues.

The central annual event in the lives of young leaders of the «Group of Eight» will hold the traditional G8 Youth Summit in the country-chairman for several months before the meeting of heads of states. In the 2006 G8 Youth Summit was held in St. Petersburg, in 2007 - in Berlin, in 2008 in Tokyo, in 2009 in Milan. This is a meeting of delegations of young people aged 20 to 35 years in eight countries and five observer countries. The delegation from each state consists of young professionals in the world economy and international relations, young entrepreneurs and journalists, young politicians, alumni and students from leading universities around the world. During the week, participants in the negotiating groups (group of Heads of State and the Sherpas, ministers, experts), and consider the issues on the agenda «Big Eight». The result of the negotiations is the text of the communiqué, «G8 Youth Summit». Every year in each country from September to December is a competitive selection in the national delegation, and from January to March — analytical training delegations, a number of consultations.
